Mystery sight??

I'm cross-posting this in the Enfield section because the sight came from the UK..

I recently won this sight on ebay for short money. Now, can anyone identify it? It was identified as a "Wilkes" or "Wilkes pattern" sight. It does closely resemble a Wilkes sight. The only lettering that I can find on it is the word "PRECISION". It needs a good cleaning, but appears to work quite well.

The top of the knobs and the appearance of the cross arm is very similar to the TZ 4/47 range, perhaps it was an under licence idea or maybe it cam from PH and used their parts boxes.

It is a John Wilkes "Precision" target sight, as used on full-bore rifles. A couple of my examples have the name and model engraved together. There were a number of UK makers who thought that they could improve on contemporary PH/AJP designs.

I've got one of these somewhere, for a P-14 action, I think. This one seems to have a Redfield-type base with an adaptor to fit it to some action, maybe a Musgrave
