    I've dropped a few whitetail with my swedes using 140gr Hornady interlock/ 43.0 IMR 4350/ WINCHESTER or FEDERAL primers very accurate in my model 38 and model96 6.5X55 swede

    I've got the same carbine in original military configuration. THEY ARE GREAT SHOOTERS! With 139 gr hand loads, it shoots 5 shot 1" groups. Amazing that a 100 + year old rifle can out shoot most modern rifles. Enjoy what you have and have fun.
