    Early parts

Some early parts that I put away years ago for projects, everything is original. The gas tube is steel too.

Looks like it is time to build a pair of 601s!

---------- Post added at 03:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:00 PM ----------

When I was building ARs from surplus parts in the late 80s, to mid-90s, no one wanted the"old" parts: 1/14" barrels, Edgewater buffers, triangle charging handles, etc. We had to sneak them into builds we sold at gunshows to get rid of them! I even once had several sets of 601 green over brown furniture, one was about 98%. Wish I had it all now!

    XM607 stock project

I am really glad that I could complete this XM607 stock project, had the original incomplete XM607 stock for many years (came from salvage yard) . I was able to get new repro internal parts and the rear locking lever. Note the original stock has a gloss black color. Never thought I would ever complete this stock.
