I'm looking for an unfitted fore end for my 1949 Long Branch No.4 Mark 1 * . I've tried Numrich, Ellwood Epps, Brownell's..and italian dealers but nothing to do. Where i could find one?? It'll be my trainig fore end, i want to learn the old armourer's skills withouth altering original wood. Thank you all!

Why not train on an old used one, that you need to patch the draws on before you start? Even with a brand new one, chances are you won't get a satisfactory result the first time, and you'll have to patch the draws anyway (If you're anything like me, maybe repeatedly). I've fitted up quite a few in the last year or 2 (new and secondhand), all for the purpose of shooting service matches, and knowing how to patch the draws is absolutely essential.
If it's the skills you want to develop, a used but straight and sound forend is a far better platform for practice, and the result in terms of accuracy of the rifle should be identical.
Here are links to Peter Laidler's instructions to both processes, if you don't already have them.
Good luck with it.

Wise words there TBone. You wouldn't buy a new car to practice on, you'd get an old MG Midget first. You WILL destroy the first few fore-ends you fit so destroy a couple of old ones first.
