Badger, thanks for the pics. Mine looks like the 37. That makes a total of 3 confirmed 1937 stocks with the same markings. If I were a betting man, I'd say I have a 1937 Mauser Oberndorf stock.

Russian Capture Kar98k's were taken apart by the Soviets and reassembled with mixed parts. Usually only the receiver and barrel match. The Soviets stamped the receiver's number on the left side of the buttstock and electropenciled the receiver's number on some of the metal parts.
