5E4s were often standard fitment on the later T4 rifles, as well as (with Mauser adaptor plate) on the 1200TX and M8x series. There are quite a few around, although many are on adaptor plates other than for a No4 action.

There have been a few 5e4 bargains on ebay of late - sub £100 in some cases...
When I bought a 5E4 for my L39 it was from a local gunsmith (since sadly closed down) and he had it off someone with a T4, as Thunderbox says.

Helston Gunsmiths are advertising one for £165.00 plus postage - I purchased one from them last year to complete Enforcer 102. Finished it off nicely.

I got to look at A65 on Saturday, the only original parts are the Action & Bolt and possibly the rear sight & front nose cap barrel band.

It is what it is a useable example "but not that original" of a No1 MkV.

Rear sight is a repro, and to be honest I never even clocked the barrel band as it was packed back up in the space of minutes and returned as it was sold to me as an original.......

As you say it is a usable No1 MkV, and I guess he could move it on if an original comes up.

I was hoping to get some pics up of the one I imported earlier this year but trying to get over a bad cold which landed on me at the weekend, my nose and eyes have just stopped running enough to be able type this up.
