    Agree. That was pathetic. Takes the rifle off his shoulder to reload, actually lets go of the bolt knob at one point and flips it back and then grasps it again.

    I think it was 1886 the Frenchicon started with smokeless powder.

    Well before the yanks copied the 30-06 from the Germanicon 8X57 round,
    and OH yes the springfield was also a COPY of the Paul Mauser rifle
    that knocked the stuffing out of the yanks in a little fight with I think it was the Spanish.
    I read that the yanks lost a court battle over paying the compensation to Paul Mauser for copying the pattern, and still did not pay up using, I think, the excuse the Germans started WW1.

    Not only was the 8mm Lebel the first ctg adopted by a nation to use smokless powder (1886) it was the first to use a boat tail bullet in 1898.
    Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
