    M1917 from 1917

Though I promised myself not to get another one of them as there are already quite some of them around I couldn't pass on this one. It's my first M1917 dating from 1917, an Eddystone with a barrel date of 9-17 (which is, by the way, bright as a mirror) and a five digit S/N.

Canadian markings (OR over 53) on the butt of the stock, the stock is R marked on the tip. But that's nothing new with the one's used in Canadaicon .
