    SPRINGFIELD Drawing # and Serial info...

    I saw the post here and figured I'd try to find out about my old springfield.
    My Receiver Drawing Number is: D28291 32 & above that is stamped: 0 6 2 C triangle FF
    My Receiver Serial Number is: 2506247.
    I know it has a new old stock barrel SA dated 2-55, and a new Boyd Walnut Stock. The other numbers I can see without more than a field strip are as fallows;
    Bolt: D28287-1 W.R.A.
    Trigger Housing: D28290-14-SA
    Hammer: C46008-9 SA
    Safety: C46015-9 SA
    I guess my question is what do I really have here & do the Receiver numbers look like they should? Apart from the non SA Bolt, it looks good, but after reading about the welded receivers on the internet, I wanted to ask. Thanks...

    Thanks, I was worried that nobody else had that revision, I've seen lower revision numbers in that serial range. Also I dont know what the ( 0 6 2 C triangle FF) means yet, thats stamped above the drawing number. Maybe someone here knows and will pass it on to me.

    Thanks, thats good info for me to keep handy on my rifle. Sorry about the Heat Lot ?? I don't know of any other stamps on it in that location. If I roll it around a bit more forward of the heat lot code, where that sideways FF is stamped, just around on the small thin front of that Lug looks like: V V or something, hard to make it out, i don't think its a W because it seems so well struck, but nothing connecting it in the middle to form anything exept maybe the V V. Not sure what the WW and V V mean either, I guess an inspectors stamp from somewhere.
    Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

    I got more pics added today on my photo page, now you can see some better up close pics. I couldn't get a good focus on the sights like I wanted, but the pro's on this site should be able to tell what type I have. If not, let me know, I'll keep trying to get metter pics if I need to. Thanks for all your help so far.
