    An early M1A1 Carbine Sn. 123829...barrel dated 12-42.

    This gun has been presented before buried in other threads, so I decided to post it again.
    This is an early M1A1icon carbine.

    Serial number 123829...barrel dated 12-42.
    Circled "P" proofmark on the rear of the stock.
    Ordnance Department crossed cannons escutcheon on the underside of the pistol grip.
    Buttplate number B257614.
