A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. I purchased mine locally, so price I paid was 2X what they go for online. I got $189.00 in mine, but you can get them on the internet a lot cheaper. The only reasons I like to purchase some things locally, is to stimulate the buisnesses around here once in a while. I also purchased my Z-bar scope mount, under handguard rail adapter, forward grip, and had it bore sighted all at once. So I pretty much walked out of the store " All hopped up" I just needed to go fine tune the scope at the range. I zero'd it for a hundred, and forgot to even shoot at 50 yards. So when that Fox Squirrell came out in the open, I shot plum over his head the first shot. I just put the next line up above the center line on his body, squeezed, and turned him into a flying fox squirrell.

Found a 3x colt scope marked made in USAicon at a gun show, suprisingly cheap 3 years ago. It sports an inverted post for reticule. First time I've seen another like it. It works great, and the mount is see through so the iron sights work as backup.

As long as we showing pictures heres mine with the Burris scope. For those who've never seen one here's a 6.8x43 round(right) next to the 5.56.

I have been told by another SP-1 collector that the early Colt scopes were made in USAicon.
Now, a question of my own, what does BDC refer to?
I recently purchased a "later" Colt scope 3x20 made in Japanicon, and so marked. It has narrow cross-hairs.

I use a Bushnell Elite 3200 straight 10 power mil dot on my Rock river with offset rings. It is a flat top so I didn't have to deal with a carry handle.

The worst part is my wife thinks it belongs to her :-(

10/10s. it looks like she knows how to use it. Why use a rolling pin when you have an AR.
