    Polytech Range Report

I got to spend some quality time with my newly face lifted lady today
Once I got the windage dailed in at the 50 yard line, I moved out to the 100 and started from this

Then came down three clicks to this

Then after that I did two sets of ten shots in semi-rapid fire for this

With none outside of the 9 ring. Even as I got more excited as I sent the rounds down range.
I guess you could say I'm satisfied.......................

Nice shooting, i just picked up a norinco m14s and i hope it shoots as good. I couldn't pass up the m14s for under $400.

Mine shoots very well. Took it to the range last week but the weather kept me from putting some M118 through it. I put it in a real nice Walnut m14 stock and it really likes it. Last outting with it, it really liked the LC delinked M60 ammo I ran through it. It shot so well I decided to part with a Springfield match built by Bruce Dow because the Chinese clone shot as well if not a little better.

Great shooting 6094. What ammo were you using?

I was using South African 7.62 exclusively for this one. I havent tried anything else yet.

I got into my norinco m14s right away after purchasing it. I installed a national match op rod spring guide and the wolf heavy duty op rpod spring. I also repaired the loose op rod guide block. I used the 620 cylinderical loctite and went up one size on the dowel pin that holds it in place. I found out the receiver has a USGI trigger group in it already. I went thru it with my 308win & 7,62 nato headspace gauges and she is on the lower 308win side. The norc doesn't appear to be fired that much because i can't find any wear on it at all not even a track from the roller on the receiver. I shoot and test all my rifles in 308 with the south african 308 ball FMJ ammo. My russian izmash saiga's in 308win for $289 NIB w/16'' barrel benchrested using the SA 308 ball ammo will shoot 1 1/2'' groups benchrested at 100yds with the two of us shooting it. I hope my m14s will equal or better that. My G3 Spanish Cetme($399) and my french MAS 49/56 commando rifle($150) both shot around 2 1/2'' to 4'' groups at 100yds. with the SA 308 ball ammo too.

I fabricated a front and rear vee rests out 2''x10'' ' s with old padding my rifles are held down rock solid for testing accuracy. I remove the human error completely but have to use the breathing technic i learned too.
