Doesnt make sense as to how 1 co. can run out in 10 mins and CA still has them on the shelf.

Pricing, distribution of ad, lots of reasons. Don't worry about the quality, they are all arsenal rebuilt and should be fine shooters. I have a lot of Century Arms Mosin Nagants and no issues with any of them.

Too bad about your local show. I was at a show 2 weeks ago and saw a RC mauser, I don't remember the manufacture, but it was a very nice rifle. Re-built and re-blued as stated earlier, but most of the numbers matched and the bore was new. The rifle looked new. He had $225 on the price tag.
If you don't like what your dealer gets, you might try a Mitchell Mauser. Most of them I have seen were nice looking and not too expensive, In the $400 range if I remember correctly.
Good Luck !!

Not only are decent guns disappearing and the price sky rocketing if you do find one but the prices and availability of bayonets has also gone crazy and it's hard to find decent ones especially for th less common milsurps.
