A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... I'd like to thank Jim for taking on the job. Moderating on the web can be a thankless task sometimes, but it is certainly appreciated by the staff and members here.

Jim, please have mercy on your fellow Navy shipmate. I won't drink the Kool-aid and I don't take the pills!

    Badger, great choice!

Thanks Jim. I've got enough to do being a mod on two other sites.....Actually there usually isn't that much. These guys are pretty well behaved....most of the time!
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

Hey, Jim are you going to cut us some slack because we're all shipmates? Or has all this sucking up been for naught?

ps: you know I'm just kidding

    Thanks to all.

My desire is to try and be an asset. Nothing more.

That being said, there will be NO SKYLARKING, phoney calls to SICKBAY, GUNDECKING, or trips to the GEEDUNK. SCUTTLEBUTT is that could result in a CAPTAIN'S MAST and being KEELHAULED, ouch. Or be sent to find Charley Noble. My approach is a bit more laid back. I'd rather hang around doing SEA CHANTIES, being a BULLY BOY and wash it down MINDING OUR Ps AND Qs at the local watering hole. Now if that doesn't sound like a BOKOO BAMBOOZLE I've got a BUMBOAT to sell you landlocked somewhere. So those that came IN THROUGH THE HAWSEPIPE grab your DITTY BAGS and lets continue learning and sharing about a hobby we all like.

Darn, that sounded a lot like a Boatswainsmate, those white stripes were usually the Master at Arms guys. I was a red stripe and worked for a living as an Engineman. Now Gary being a green stripe, I don't know. As for shipmates, I was on a four man boat, only had three. Still see two of them.

    Again, thanks guys.

Their were about 8 or so of us in the AO shop at NAS Miramar. Mostly the Vulcan M61A1 gun, AIM 9 blue tubes.

    Yes, I am.

Found this in my seabag. My first tour almost 44 years ago. On the ship that took us back to the P.I. for boat repairs. Still have nightmares of kissing the Royal Belly.
