    No4 magazines

A friend of mine and I are looking for a spare magazine for our No4s. Anyone have an idea of where one might find a couple for a reasonable price? $25 at the upper end would be reasonable to us.

    As always - Thanks

I am always intrigued as to why so many people want spare magazine but rarely other pare parts. Its not as though they break.

    #4 magazines for sale

Norton1: I see some on two Canadianicon sites: Marstar and PS Militaria. They have some that approach your price cutoff. Both excellent folks to deal with!

You may also wish to try 'Ellwood Epps' website. Look under "This and That'....'Magazines"; they have some brand new ones too !
    Cheers.

If you have a spare magazine, you can use it. 20 rounds ready to go as opposed to 10. I'm not saying it's necessary but for some it may have an appeal. While I don't feel the need for spare magazines for my Enfields, if I were to have say an AR or an AK, I might want some extras, especially if I didn't have ammo on stripper clips.

To shoot NRA High Power there are two course of fire that require 20 rounds in rapid fire. With stripper clips it can be a tough one to get your rounds fired in the time alloted. And my (T) has a scope that prevents use of stripper clips. That is the only reason I want one.

    And thanks for the leads!!

The eventual drama is that even if both mags work at first, hurried mag changes will eventually deform the rather soft feed lips (front or back) and then failures to feed will start. Chargers are the best way to go.

If you are competing with the scope on, then your main competitor would be the five shot '03 A4 which must be single loaded as well. So reloads aren't your worry.

Actually my main competitor would be any rifle with a scope and magazine. I apparently am in the "tactical" category. I am likely to not compete as I don't do crowds all that well and the "competition" ends up being a game of gamemansship.

I decided, based on cost, to modify a No1 magazine I have to fit. I only want to shoot once to make sure my sight data is accurate. Not to mention the costs associated with shooting 100 rounds in competition. Nearly $100 to shoot that many. I remember now why I gave up shooting Long Range tactical - it is expensive!

But the links helped my buddy out!
