1903a3 presentation foto
I have a photo of Frank J Atwood receiving the 1,000,000th Remington 1903 rifle. Has anyone seen the gun? its at the Springfield Armory museum in their inventory, is it on display? I have sent several emails to the museum but have never got a response other then if they had a interest in someone would contact me.

If Remington gave him the rifle he/his heirs have it. Likely sold-on after his passing. You could try calling Remington factiory and ask for the historian. Good luck.

It's been a few years since I was there, but I believe the rifle is there and on display. It was during the "100 Years of the M1903" exhibit, so they could have removed it for another display theme. The rifle I am thinking of has a presentation plaque on the butt and doesn't look ANYTHING like a service rifle. It has a blonde fiddleback maple stock. The metal is highly polished and blued.
