I'd like a Cavalry Carbine. I have a barrel, I could theoretically locate a correct action and the woodwork and all the other bits. It wouldn't be original but even so, it would be cool.

I have always wanted to own the early SMLE pre 1918 target rifle made by BSA and having the Parker Hale peep sight , and also wanted a Long Branch no.4 last week I was able to acquire both ,Now the No.4 T is on my list (has been for years), These will be tested tomorrow afternoon , At the Trails End Range just outside Chatham Ontario

303Guy, Steel on the pure number one mk1 1903 . But I have just acquired another Enfield SMLE 1903 mk1 pure but converted to mk111 spec in 1907. By that a mean that it is dated 1903 with the orginal Mk1 stamp underneath the 111 stamp, so it must have gone though the 1907 LOC 13992 charger loader program it has on the left hand side of the receiver armourers stamps 04 05 07. I spend years looking for one of the 967 made that year and by pure luck within six months I have two, well one and a half !

My Dad left me an EAL303 which lead me to Longbranch and so on.I have had my eyes opened to the word obssession, Initially did not like 303s. A little reading and bought a No32 Mk2 scope and now sold it.Unbelievable the dynamics of a sniper.Very hard to mock up with all the trimmings.I have given up the sniper dream for awhile and moved on to No1's .Now enjoy Enfields even more. My Holy Grails consist of sporterized that I can bring back to some what original configurations.(FOR NOW!) Great post Olskool thanks!

Over the past 43 years have been fortunate to own BSA Commerical Target, No4MK2 Candian target, L8A2(308), No4(T), No 8 .22 lr, war office BSA trainer, WW1 Bren gun trainer-No1MK111, 1912 Navy trainer.No1 MKV, this one went back to the motherland to be put in museum Was lucky in a since. Right place ,,right time. Still have them all with exception of Navy trainer
