    New EM-1 Carbine.....real cool!

I picked up this EM1 Carbine from Allan's Armory. Of course it's not a real M1icon Carbine but a slick little .22 made in Germanyicon. I plan on striping off the poly and finishing it in linseed oilicon. It has no rear sight only a D&T'd hole drilled in the top of the dove tail. I'm hoping I can just find a dove tail block somewhere and install a standard M1 carbine rear sight. Anyone have any experience with these? Regards, Rick.

I think Harlan has (or had) a couple of them. There was a thread mentioning Erma Carbines a few months ago. - Bob

Gosh, this is getting expensive! I wonder if anyone makes a pillow block with a dovetail that will mount atop the action? I have several M1icon rear sights that would work....the front sight sure looks tall enough. It is a cool rifle and would look great with a USGI rear sight! Regards, Rick.

I just found one of these today. Asking price is $150. No magazine, which is probably about $50. The front sight was on backwards and the rear sight was not there. It had a tapped hole.
I found another last year, but I didn't pay much attention to it. It was cheap, I remember. I bought his Alpine for $204 missing a hand guard.
