A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... I think the point FTD1167 refers to is besides the repo/fake parts sellers, the price gets run up. Either by honest bidding and/or shill bidders, to more then what we consider a fair price for that item. Not necessarily ebay policy.

Let's not get our blood pressures up too high. Feelings have been expressed. It is obvious, a lot of members here do not like Ebay. Others still use it for buying and selling. For those who do not like it, there are other options, but maybe not with as much exposure. So make your personal choices.

As for their policy on cost and charges, you know that up front. Take that into consideration. I did read
"Earlier this week, a federal judge in the Northern California-based U.S. District Court, denied eBay's request to have the lawsuit dismissed."
Maybe that will develope into something down the road allowing easier alternate forms of payment. Time will tell.

Let's move on to something a bit less antagonistic. Like Carbines.

    Jim

Not that i don't agree with you, because I'm completely on your side on that point, BUT, in the sellers defense, in the description he states he has no idea what it is, and asks for info, plus, he posted the info he received. But like I said, on most eBay stuff I have to agree with you

Jim just one more note. I never initially agreed to alot of these silly rules and fees when I first signed up there. Most of this crazy stuff has been added long after I became a member there. I used to be able to accept other forms of paments and those are the rules I agreed to when I signed up. There were also no shipping fees when I signed up either. They make all this crap retroactive. These rules do not cover just new members. It like changing the rules in the middle of the ballgame..Thanks
