This thing is gorgeous enough that you probably ought to think about letting someone in Hollywood or the ad industry know about it. Of course, you might not want them to use it.

I applaud your effort. As someone who has also restored more than a few MV's I can appreciate the hours in this vehicle. Mine are more 'motor pool' restorations. I had to be pried away from a potential half track candidate.

I have been approached by people wanting to rent it for events, but that was before it was finished.

I have been notified my star stencils have been shipped

On a side note, I may have found another pair of 1919s for her

Take it from me Andy and never, ever, never allow it to be used by film companies/props etc etc etc. Or in fact anyone else except when YOU are there, in charge almost running the show. Because nobody in the world knows more about it than you, knows how much effort has gone into making it look like new and they don't know how to drive the old girl either. My brother has an old Bedford QL and all these old boys want to take it for a trip around the block, thinking that they're taking out their lorry in 1945 across Hoolland and through all of the shxx and shxxx they can find, having forgotten all about how to double-de-clutch and treat it with loving care..........

Centurion the same, Mini Cooper........ just look how they slog them to death on Heartbeat........ Nope........

I know all to well Peter, I will pick and choose carefully. I have seen the damage caused on my halftrack from being used in a 80s tv show before I got her.

GREAT. Is that the original census number or one that's applicable to the year/type/vehicle. And the book........ Maybe a combined effort with Don is called for

The hood ord number is correct for my halftrack. I was lucky that it was stamped on the rear bogie support or i would have never found it out. There is a way to calculate using the frame serial number if it was an m2 or m3 version, but being an m4 no-one knows the formula

You ought to get a professional photographer to do a "delivery' photo (or several) to record the end of your journey in some special location for a record. One of our moderators did a complete restoration on a 1946 Willy Jeep. He and it were hit by a drunk four days later landing him in the hospital for an extensive stay followed by six months of recovery. The jeep was need totaled.
