What kind of stock is this?

I got this stock with my new M1Aicon. I don't know what type of stock it is? Its the black plastic one on the rifle, the hand guard is made the same way. There is no metal in the mag well of this stock, the stock doesn't require it. Is it legal to use in a highpower match. Is it even a good stock, it feels pretty solid.

Also the stock has a checkered pistol grip and fore end. It has a rubber buttpad, the stock is rough instead of being smooth like the GI versions, also there not a spot of the go fast button.

How new is your rifle, new to You or brand spankin' new out of the box fresh from the fun store new? long story short the black stock could be a old USGI Syn M14 stock that SAI filled in the selector notch and painted with there black krinkle paint thats going too flake off the more you use it, or if your rifle is a new production M1Aicon the stock is a SAI plastic copy of the USGI stock with the same paint.

Question? when to take it apart or flip it upside down can you see any mold numbers inside the magwell of the stock? if thats the case I would hazzad a guess it a USGI syn stock.

Its a mid 90's gun. It has an h and r barrel and a forged bolt. The stock does have numbers in the mag well. How bad do they peel? Also is it CMPicon match legal. The gun shoots good in it. Thank you for the help!

If its a 90's rifle its a USGI syn stock, and yea its legal for NRA/CMP service rifle Matches altho its not the best too use the forearm is very flexable with a tight sling, I sugest that you use a wood stock, the forearm is much stiffer and less prone too flexing under sling pressure.

I have one that is set up for Match. I am told that it was "legal".... but I don't know if that is true. Evn though I don't know if it qualifies (SS BARREL and Composite stock), I love it!
The composite stock is nice and heavey, and VERY stiff.
