    Odd finish on Russian TT-33

I recently obtained my third Russianicon TT-33 and this one is a little different. There are no import or rebuild markings. It has a matching magazine. The frame and slide blued over a sandblasted finish except for the polished flat sides of the side. Has anyone seen this type of finish on Russian TT-33's?
