    Parker Hale PH5E - value

    Hi,

I recently inherited a bunch of guns, and I have this sight. I will attach a pic. Included is a mounting bracket to add to any rifle that has a mount.

I would like to get rid of it for a scope, thereby keeping some family value, and put the new scope on my new rifle.

What is fair market value to ask for this sight or to trade for a scope for a varmint rifle - 250/243/223?

    Thanks

I know people grizzle when I keep saying this, but just put it on 'that' auction site. It'll sell for what it's worth AND what the last two people want to pay for it. Furthermore, you'll have a million people with the wherewithall to see it. Even though we're all honest and well meaning people here, any other means of ascertaining a value is that economics of the madhouse.

Look up something similar on that site too

If yours sells for £8 or £208 or anything inbetween, THAT is its value. And if it didn't cost you anything, then EVERYTHING over that is a bonus. Just my 'bleedin obvious' outlook on life and 2c's worth

Thanks for the input Peter. I was contemplating 'that' site. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt worth alot more thatn a couple bucks.

Most of the higher payers seem to be from New Z.

Peter is quite correct, but the sight equipment is worth seriously more than "a couple bucks". More like 1xx, maybe 2xx - on that site, of course! Definitely worth selling if you need the money for something else.

Also depends what rifle it came off, looks like a Mauser type action regarding the mounting bracket, still worth more than a few $.
