    Hämmerli K31 Jubilee rifle

A collector has one of these beautiful rifles, absolutely unused (apart from proofing, of course) and has indicated that he might part with it - probably for a sum that will make me cry! He has offered to let me try it out at a range that is accessible for both of us.

Before getting all excited, I would like to hear from anyone who has actually used one of these as a competition rifle. What is the ultimate accuracy I could expect at 100 or 300 yards?

I shot 20 shots in 2" in a 100 yd prone match with a standard K31icon and GP11 with my tired 50 year old eyes. So the gun should be that accurate as a minimum.

That's excellent shooting for any service rifle and any age of eyeballs!

I can't help you with the accuracy but the current edition of Peterson's (not my three year old one) lists an excellent example, their highest grade at $4500.00.

Well that solved the problem! I need to knock a zero off that kind of price to even consider it!

Cancel last message! It is NOT a Jubilee rifle. The medallion is rectangular, not oval. And the number is wrong. I checked in the list which is linked through the Swissicon Rifles.com forum - and the Poyer book as well.

    And it shot indifferently.

Back to the owner, with regrets and disappointment.
