    Villiars- You say that a lot of STG44s turned up in Syria recently. Where the heck could they get ammo for them? I thought that the STG44 used a unique round? I may well be wrong here, though. Just curious.

    Donzi, you are not wrong. The MP44 shoots the 8mm Kurz round.

    Yeah, that's exactly the round I had thought. Again not sure where the Syrians, or anyone else, would find sufficient 8mm Kurz ammo to make the weapon practical to use now. JMHO, of course.
