    1903 mk i

I acquired a 1903 mk I and am trying to find a true value and idea of where to market this firearm. The research I have done shows the rifle being built in the latter part of 1918 and the stamp on the barrel is 9-18 below the ordanance stamp. The stock has 2 stamps near the cutoff that I assume is Rock Island Arsenal with FK below. It still has the gray green parkerizing and the stock is near perfect. It doesn't appear to have been rebarreled or rebuilt. Any insight to the value or a serious market would be appreciated.

Posting some good photos is always a good idea. This rifle probably was re-arsenaled, probably during or after service in WWII. The original finish was much darker than the "gray green" used later. The initials F K are for Frank Krack who inspected rebuilt specimens at Rock Island Arsenal. The barrel is likely original and was still serviceable. Several of us will be glad to help you further after we get more info.
