Took a look. They must have made a bunch of changes along the way. No way a GI stock would fit.

I just looked through some older threads on the Citadel/Chiappa Carbines. Here are links to a few I thought were pretty good. - Bob

I have an Iver johnson and looked at putting it into a USGI stock but it was way too much effort as the reciever is not very close to a real M1 carbine.

I had an Iver Johnson copy back in the 80's. It was very accurate. I shot the snot out of that thing, and have no idea how many thousands of rounds went through that barrel. The IJ copies have since become more pricey than I could have ever imagined. The only USGI part I put on it was a type 3 barrel band because the band/sling swivel original to the gun was poorly made.

Very nice looking gun. Can’t wait to see a range report, and give it a run at the shooting competition (see link below).

Took the M1icon-22 to the range to try it out, was fairly windy so cant really comment on accuracy but was not disappointed with what i was able to achieve but was disappointed with the feed of the ammo i was hoping to use in it.

The ammo i took was Winchester power point (of which i have thousands of rounds) & a box of Federal 525 round value pack.
The Winchester ammo kept on getting hung up, had about 10 mis-feeds from about 80 rounds so switched to the Federal & just had a blast & put over 200 rounds down range before daylight turned to dusk without a single mis-feed or problems.
The real fun part was the steel pigs set up at 50yards that took 5 or more rounds in quick succession to knock over.
Overall i am very pleased with my purchase, certainly more reliable & much more fun to shoot than my Remington 597 (now for sale)
