Springfield 1903
I may be posting in the wrong area, but the site is a bit overwhelming and I wasn't sure where else to post.
I have a Springfield 1903- 30-06 with serial # 314XXXX.
I am attempting to upload some photos now, but am looking to learn more about the gun, especially the value.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks.

To learn more about about how to handle pics, please read this thread in the Q&A - Help Forums, which also appears as a "sticky" thread at the top of every forum on the site.
How do I upload pictures to my posts for storage on milsurps.com? (click here)
In the case of pics stored in our member's Photo Gallery, all you have to do is click on the pic in the album and you'll see an area at the bottom where the cu-n-paste code is created for you, so you can simply use it within any post.
If you still have problems, email them to me at badger@milsurps.com and I'll resize them for you, then post them in the thread under your name
Regards,
Doug

Ok, here is the best I could do. My photo was too large, so I had to go to photobucket. Working on more photos. Thanks.

Was also able to upload into my gallery if that helps. Not the most savvy on forums.

I don't think that single photo (very dark) is going to help much ...
As I said in my earlier post, if you email me all your pics, I'll re-size them and see what I can do to make them more legible....

Doug

You must have some good eyes Chuck!
Per the serial #, it is a Remington M1903.
From the one photo, I can't tell if the stock is pre-war, or not.
Looks like a nice rifle. How is the bore?

Shoots like a dream. I got it sighted in within 12 rounds. At 100 yrds, I'm grouping within inches. I will again try to email photos over to Doug and see it he can get more posted.
