Like I said Gary, they're all gorgeous. I'd love to carry any of them.

Thank you for the input. I had/ have a mix of parts. The lower receiver was made by Infield. I built 5 inch pattern fals.I bought rifle part kits . There were no C1a1 kits then or now. I used what I had to complete build. I may have the original Canadian butt stock. I remember getting it with the wood parts. i'll check internet pictures then look at my stocks. most are black plastic.

I checked my parts. I found this wood buttstock. Is it C1A1? If so I will install to replace the NZ. thanks,

No, that is more like the metric type. The sling swivels on ours were like the late ones on the #4 rifles too. I'd say leave the butt you have on there as it's so nice. Not many will catch it. If I can find pics, I'll send them. I'm pretty sure they're here somewhere though because there's a couple Canadian collectors have shown their stuff on this forum...

I imagine you think me being picky, specially after he has said he'll buy yours, but the one with the disc isn't even nearly correct. The buttplate is different by a mile and the sling swivel is completely wrong. The swivel on ours was inset like the Lee Enfield. This one has a small round swivel on a base that's not even remotely the same. The inlet is different too. It's very nice though...

I agree with BAR. All of the zillions of UK, Lithgows and fewer CAL L1A1's and L2's I dealt with in the UK, Australia and NZ were pretty-well to the UK spec that I'd grown up with.
The RNZAF (?) butt marking disc also looks like a bit of a red herring too. We serviced the RNZAF stuff (was it Ohakea, near Hamilton.....? Someone correct me please....) and their newly issued in 1969 L1A1's and a couple of A2's were all Lithgow/UK spec

Theres also a RAF 41 Sqn too but Sqns were never issued rifles, they were all held in the station armoury so its unlikely they would have had a marking disc.
