    Dave's (spdldr) S'G'

We all love pictures. Dave, member (spdldr), is having issues posting pictures of his carbine. He sent them to me and I am posting for him. Here is his note.

    Subject: S'G' 3593229

    Hello Jim,

Here is my early S'G'. The parts are as follows.

    Buffalo barrel 9/1943
    Slide S'G'
Bolt IO left lug O right
    Extractor S'G'
    FP S'G' earliest type
TH S'G', hammer WA in white
    Mag catch, SW no M
    Sear SW S'G'
    Trigger S'G'
    Safety IN
    HG RSG
    R sight B-S'G',
    F sight sideways N
Stock Standard Prod. with SG cart.

It appears to me that the stock was shipped to SG from SP when they ran out of their own. (Page 166 Ruth)

    With Best Regards, Dave

Quite a few replaced parts on this one. A couple of the parts appear to be repos. I doubt very much that the stock came to S'G' from SP.

The pictures are blurry due to the tears in my eyes. I get the same feeling when seeing a flight of Mustangs at the Chino Airshows. I have a Saginaw S.G. I just rebuilt as a "Late War"plinker my heart did skip a beat when I saw Saginaw on the stripped receiver I bought. It was not the above S'G' though but I'll take it.
