    M1 with a peep?

Looking at an local auction that has been posting images of fireams for sale at the end of the month. In there is an M1icon with a rear peep sight! Ever see anything like that?

Every time I take my M1icon out of the safe.

BTW, National Match M1s sometimes had a "hooded" peep sight.

Sorry. This peep sight is screwed into the rear sight and stands out fom it. It looks like the front sight has been changed also. The internet image is not too clear on that one. I can post the local gun auction with images if you would like

Here is the web page. Second row center for the M1icon. I have no personal interests in this auction.

Then I should look for NM on parts of the rifle before I volunteer money at the end of the month?

I think it went something like this:

Take a bog-standard Garandicon backsight, (or an NM, for the luxury version) a piece of tubing,
    and a Parker-Hale 6-hole aperture
    Attachment 45126

    Glue together
    Attachment 45127

Hey presto! The variable aperture Garand NM-Not! backsight.

Now available from Ali Bubba & Sons of 666 Khyber Pass Rd, Kabul.
Consult your local representative for prices and delivery!
