Buttstock Brass Disc
Has anyone ever made a study, and published his/her results of the identification of
MAUSER Rifle Buttstock Disc from all nation's.
Recently worked on a M48BO which had a brass buttstock disc. Trying to trace what country utilized this weapon.
At 3 and 9 0'clock position it appears to be two symbols each looking like a large 2, at 12 o'clock V0, now at 6 o'clock there is a horizontal symbol rather small maybe an Arabic j .
I've got to get the rifle back an attempt to get you all a jpeg, would that be easy to post on this site?
Thanks in advance for your help

To forum members,
Disregard this post as I found out today that I was reading the disc upside-down, it's Arabic and I'm not knowledgeable in the Arabic alphabet. SAT
