308 NATO is ballistic twin of 8mm Mauser

Since the powder manufacturers dont pay much attention to 8mm Mauser
it is useful to know that the 308NATO is a twin from an internal ballistics standpoint.
That is to say that the same powders that work well
in the 308 will work well in the 8mm mauser. In fact there are some
new technology powders such as PowerPro-2000mr which will yield
at least a 100 more fps velocity than any other powder for the same pressure.
Take a look at the attached load data table for 308 to see
what I mean and use it for heavy bullets in the 8mm such as 180gr or
    heavier.

The mother of .308 is 7.5 Frenchicon. Not 8 Mauser. We copied their round just as Garandicon copied their automatic rifle, the RSC 1917.
