    No5 Mk1 Serial Number....is it correct?

    All,

1945 No5 Mk1 with the following serial number on receiver:

    "No5 Mk1 ROF(F) FTR,B)1945 BG7965"

This appears to be a Faz No5 that went through FTR at BSA Shirley?? All the parts are marked with the BSA "M47C". Does this seem ok or legit?

    Thanks!

The serial number BG7965 is ciorrect for a 1945 made BSA No.5 Mark 1. I think you have a BSA rifle that was later FTR'd at Fazakerley.
