    Just my luck

    Hi all
after doing the ring around it seems that Australiaicon is in a .311 drought. This on a reacrunce of Enfeilditus for me.If a group buy of tipans or for that matter any MK vII clone goes ahead count me in.
Thank you MrE for the info on the die's.
I have also spoken to the importers {via email} of PPu but as the agent for Hornady and Sireea thay had no intrest in importing PPu/Highland projectiles even though the Big US makers had announced that the were suspending production. Also was chaseing the Barnul guys both in Aust and NZ hope that that may come to something.
By the way Hi all first real post and have got the 3oh bug bad again.
    Sean

Just looking in again. I'd given up being noticed. I'm still interested in these bumping up dies if anyone can supply spec's - or even a picture & few notes on how they work.
Upsetting is a blacksmith term for making a rod shorter & fatter I was being clever ( I thought) but - seriously I know several people locally who could benefit from being able to adjust .308 to .311 can anyone help?!

I am with Buntline a schematic and dimensions of the dies in question would be good as there is going to be a shortage of 303 pills for quite a time here in Australiaicon and West Aus even worse than the East help would be appreiated

I've been sent some info by Mr E and am investigating further how to go about making a set. Some engineering experience is need (which I have). I will post here my results but that will probably not be until the new year. I could post what Mr E has sent me with his permission. I'll PM him.

As stated Highland have pulled the pin on their 174gn 303 pill that leaves Seirra in the box seat not sure if we get Barnauls here but they would be plenty expensive no doubt of Taipans resurgence unless Malcolm Bone (thats if he is still alive and well) or has trained someone to use his gear then those projectiles making a comeback are just a myth nothing more

Looks like you'll have to wait for me, I'll not abuse the good will of someone who's spared time to help me.

I am posting this for others to read my response and ponder at your request from Mr.E and my asking you for help so if Badger or other moderators delete this post well so be it but read on and see my reasoning.

You perhaps have not experienced a real drought of projectiles/powder/primers as we do over here in Australia we have a debacle over the USAicon not shipping anything out if the Eastern States suffer with supply ours on the Western side of the country completely miss out. (No offence ppl just the way it is)
I will say I must be a real threat to the likes of Sierra, Berger, Hornady, Barnauls and Woodleigh if I made 1 .311 projectile at a time and here I was thinking that we at milsurps helped each other.
I do not feel you engender the comradeship of this site at all, I may not know as much as most people on this site but one thing I do know in the true Australianicon spirit that we help each other where we can, I appreciate you elevating my beliefs
