1945 Freeman Field Airshow
This is a compilation of two films shot during the September, 1945 airshow at Freeman Field. The aircraft seen both in the air and on the ground are nothing short of spectacular. Many of the remaining captured aircraft have yet to arrive. Thanks to the Freeman Army Airfield Museum who provided the video.

That's the airshow we'd all like to attend. I saw lots of those aircraft in the air when I was young, sadly most of them are grounded now by age and lack of spares.

Great post and thanks.
One thing that is interesting is the people in attendance were not fenced in like cattle and were intelligent enough to stand back from a moving prop.
Guess that generation was some what more intelligent than what we have nowadays.

the days when pilots could still fly tailwheel aircraft. But I still can´t understand why military bands were led by prancing females in the US. Is this some kind of kinky fantasy?
