    A.N.Z.A.C Day

Today the 25th April 1915 the Australianicon and New Zealand Army Corps landed at a far off shore at Gallipoli and the legend was born.

Their sacrifice and to all of those that followed through other conflicts in France, Belgiumicon Pozieres to WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and every where else freedom was at stake.

We the free people of this world thank you and respect you and will keep the flame of freedom burning forever until we are rid of tyranny and oppression.

Sorry was in a rush to get to the march heading mistake rectified.

Hears one for you; they were made to go ashore with unloaded rifles to stop an AD and alerting the enemy fat lot of good that did when the Turks opened up whilst our boys were still in the boats, mind you they made up for it when they got amongst them.

Absolutely. Here in America the feats of those brave men are virtually unknown. I first saw 'Gallipoli' when I was about 14, and my interest in the ANZACs was born. As I said on another thread, I shall be raising a pint to their memory!
