I have a later model 999 (w/ vent rib barrel) and it shoots about 4" high on the rest at 25 yards with the front sight screwed up as far as it will go. Has any other 999 owner out there experienced a similar problem and is there any magic to correct this that I am not aware of, short of filing down the rear sight which I will not do. The pistol is in 'as new' condition. I can't believe this sight system was designed to shoot this high. I'm considering making a taller front sight if one is not available in the market. Thanks for any info. ChipS (Carbine Forum guy)
