A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Ebay is really the only viable option. You could try Fultons of Bisley, I'm not sure if they supply parts or just do repairs. Whilst this thread is up can anyone tell me what screws are required to fit a Parker Hale 5A to a SMLE? Are they standard BA thread or 'Enfield'?

The 5A sight itself has clearance holes for the mounting screws, the tapped holes are on the rifle, so Enfield threads required.

2 screws needed (one longer rear trigger guard screw, and one to suit the safety spring screw)

What do you want Rooster a sight or just parts as you say both in your thread......... There are so many thread patterns used on these P-H sights by this dim witted company that you'd be better off just sending it to Fultons at Bisley and asking them to fix it. Sorry if I've ridiculed them in this case as mny only experience is with the No4 rifle type sights which are a thread nightmare.

Fultons have a huge box of assorted parts and CAN help owners. Something that P-H couldn't/wouldn't do

Listen Rooster......... NOBODY will just send the parts you need, even if they think they have them because they're all bloody different threads. Even P-H wouldn't send out spares because of this. Just speak to Robert at Fultons!
