    push button safties

I found some push button safeties in some of my parts, I have had these a very long time.
One of the safeties is marked, the rest are unmarked, can someone tell me who made this marked safety ? is it common to have them marked ?Attachment 55663

EPB would be common on an IBM carbine as well as W-B and PRB marked safeties.

I have ahd several "EW" WInchester ones, but never saw any other marked push buttons. My experience is limited, however.

That was Tuna, and I'm incline to agree. The main reason is that they don't look like originals to me either. I won't discuss why on an open forum because I don't want to give humpers any clues. Repops have neen made for many years now and the humpers are getting too good.

The most common marked safeties I've seen are "EW", IP-A or IP-W and then EP-B.

China doesn't make sense to me, if you had them since the early 80's. There were very few carbines around until the late 80s (88-89) to early 90's when Blue sky started bringing them in from Korea. Before that it was just some scarce NRA/DCM weapons and commercial like Alpine, National, Universal, and Plainfield. There just wasn't enough demand then for small humped parts. Guys like Bud Evers and Lonnie (Old Sarge) still had lots of vintage parts.

In fact, I had my FFL starting in 1982, and SELDOM saw a USGI M1icon Carbine, until the Blue skies came in.

BTW, the current "Old Sarge's drop zone" is not Lonnie

They have been making repo parts since the early 70's including safeties and the type 1 rear sight. Those you have are fakes and not real ones. You may have had them since the 80's but they have imported them back then too. Our favorite humper out the left coast has had them for decades as well as the infamous company in the mid west.
