Photos show a sequence of 1903 handguards, but maybe missing a few examples ? The
WW2 contract and Remington also not shown.

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Really hard to tell when you don't show the profiles.

One that is often missed is one used about 1920. It had a straight profile, but had a fixturing slot, like the earlier handguards.
