I was reading about the Inland Carbine in War Baby about the '45 and glad i did cause in those parts i sold i kept the Marked Flip Safety and the parts that go with it to install it. Is there a good sight about disassemble parts and Reassemble parts cause it looks like to me the 1-45 Inland should have it, thats why it was in the bag of parts i bet. Thanks

Frank, Don't take any of this stuff personally. One of the reasons that Brian seems short or curt with his responses is that much of what he has to offer is copyrighted material. A heck of a lot of people on these forums just quote chapter and verse all of the information that they have read in copyrighted material. BQ is different, he respects the copyrights of others and doesn't like to violate that part of material. While it may seem frustrating at times you can take what he has to offer and use it going forward with your own research. This much is certain; most of what you will read on the internet is incorrect and most of what you will hear from BQ is correct. Take what he gives and move on. I've been interested in these firearms for about 6-7 years and the person who took me by the hand and walked me through the process with my Winchester is the guy you are hammering. He certainly went out of his way to help me.

First off, BrianQ doesn't intentionally jump on or pick on anyone. When he visits and see's something incorrect, he comments to give factual information. To some it may seem brusque. Try and read what he is saying not interpret more into it. Use him as a resource. As BAR wrote. Brian's a wealth of knowledge.

Let's try and get back on topic and put attitudes aside.

Really i have to go back and see what happened, i dont even think about the guy, i posted something he chimed his 2 cents and that all, then just a few seconds later he popped up on another thread i started and actually he just commented something rude without me asking him something, then he left. That about sums it up. It's just strange that he did that and left andiI'd think i know who asked him to do it. I never heard of him, ask him anything, it was the way he came across to a person he never met, or knew it was just unkindly and thats was that, i dont even think about the guy. The only time i think about him is when people keep mentioning it. But unlike other people here that if and when shows up they crowd him, but you wont see me anywhere close to him and i have no use for him or will i ever, please let this go. The people here that I've gotten to know, know I've never been rude to or disrespectful and always given thanks for there help and the time to help me. Thanks

    Frank

So please point out in the three posts I have made this month where I said something rude. Here they are so no one has to search for them.

There is absolutely no carbine serial number data in Inland's Personnel Divisions Training Section History report.
Inland did publish some serial number data in the form of weekly test reports. Some of the reports have surfaced but most have not.
Wikipedia and Harrison's book are the two absolute worst sources for factual information on the M1 Carbine.

So where is this alleged "list the month and year according to the SN" page?

If you have found one tell us when serial number 4,975,365 was made.

If Brian types it, you can bank on it. What the others have said.
