Greek .303 Surplus

Cheaper than dirt has Greek .303 for sale. I picked up 900 rounds on stripper clips for just under 400 shipped. I think they have 480 round bulk cases also.

Talked to customer service this morning at cheaper than dirt. They still had 800 plus boxes left after I ordered yesterday. The backorder msg's being sent out were in error.

From what I understand, when Greece joined the EU they had to follow all EU regs. This impacted the ammo surplus in that one of the regs dictated that ammo be retail boxed. It COULD NOT be sold in the original ammo crates/cans. At the time it was decided that it would be too expensive to re-package the ammo so it sat in the warehouse for the last 10+ years.
Apparently with the increase in value for ammo, someone decided it was now possible to re-pack and still make money.

Thanks for the heads up. Here is a link to some of the .410 ammo for the SMLE shotgun. I ordered a small case and received it last week. Really neat!!

You are most welcome!! I have to dig mine out and get out to the range.

I received my Greek 303 today and it is very nice. There are a few clips with a little rust and corrosion, but very few!! Hope it shoots well. May have to dig out one of the No 4 Mk 1 Ts and head to the range!!

I had seven rounds of the 303 surplus I decided to trash due to case corrosion of a couple rounds in one of the boxes. Of the seven I discovered that there were three different bullet types. All weighed between 174 and 174.5. A couple of them had a longer bullet length.
