    Latest acquisition - PePeSha!!!!

Picked this beauty up from the couriers last Friday morning....

Made in 1942 at either Plant 113 in Gorky, or the Yaroslavl Car Factory - we don't know which exactly - and whichever factory made this one it is one of the rarest manufacturers, and refurbed after the war.

As far as I know it was exported to the UKicon from the Ukraine a few years ago, and then imported to New Zealandicon by the person I bought it from.

My first impressions - heavy and agricultural, but I guess it does exactly what it says on the can....

This marks my first automatic/select-fire firearm purchase, and it is exactly what I was looking for...

A shame you can't fire it!

What does one of those typically go for these days?

I paid the equivalent of USD$1945 for this - here the going rate at auction is about the equivalent of USD$2400.

    LOL...how fitting!

I like the "agricultural" comment...reminiscent of somebody's past observation that Russianicon firearms were designed to be repaired by the nearest village blacksmith.

Fernleaf, please explain why you are unable to shoot this weapon. Is it an authorized demil because of New Zealandicon laws? TIA

NZicon makes it fairly easy to own such things in operating condition but you can't fire them outside of some very restrictive conditions that most can't comply with.

Thanks for the explanation. I will tell the wife we are not moving to NZicon after all.

Like everywhere there are pluses and minuses with the gun laws.
