    Thanks, Cali.

Photography is one of my hobbies, too. I've never tried to document something like this close-up before, so I'm glad they came out ok.

Have a good weekend, everyone.. Off to (another) travelling soccer weekend with the boys. Only 6 hrs total driving for today's game... Good times... Good times....

Avi727 -- Enjoyed reading all the info and great pics of your fine carbine! However, I also want to say I commend & admire you for sharing the great relationship you have with your sons. Teaching them the values of gun ownership and the safe & proper use of them, and hearing that you take a sincere interest in their lives as they grow up, is truly enlightening, especially in the world we live in. If only more parents would do as you do with their children.....

    Thank you, --728shooter

"been there, done that, won't do it again"

A bit of practical advice from a shooter, not a collector:

If your carbine is shooting satisfactorily, do NOT remove the recoil plate. This is a "pulling up the plant to see how the roots are growing" action. Whether original or not, the plate has been bedded in from recoil plus hardened gunge. If you remove it and clean it and the stock cut-out, you may find that the grouping and POI has visibly altered. POI and accuracy are also affected by the tightening of the front band screw, which tends to make the band pull sideways. You might not notice the difference for plinking, but you will for serious target shooting.
