    Original Quality Hardware Carbine?

What are the opinions on this one? I've had it a long time, I'd guess at least 25 years. I think it's pretty close to original, but am still learning a lot about these. Should it have a round bolt? I've been working hard to handle more and more carbines as I have a renewed interest in them, but still have a lot to learn. Comments on this one would be appreciated. I'll note up front that I think it's mostly original, but not sure. I also have a couple of IBM carbines with the early sights, but I think they are refinished guns, I'll post a few photos of them soon as well. Sorry for the barrel photo, I just could not get it to be in focus!
    Thanks in advance,
    Bob

You're probably trying too hard with the camera, providing it's a self focusing digital. Just switch to macro and bring it in close, hold it still and push the button slowly. It'll focus and take a perfect shot. I don't even have to have my glasses on for it, just as long as I can see that it's in the screen...

Beautiful wood. Quality Hardware carbines are just fascinating to me, the way they built them and contracted all the parts but one. They had their people at the contractor's shops making sure the parts were correct and on time. It also is amazing that almost all were spring tube but no receivers cracked.

I've been revisiting some of my guns that I've not had out of the safe in quite some time. The Quality Hardware above is one of two Quality Hardwares that I have that are original and as issued. What is the "spring tube" and what would I look for to see if either of these have one/it? I remember where I got one, but can't for the life of me remember where the 2nd one came from....tough getting older but I've had these about 25 years.
I also have a nice IBM that compares to these that I've had forever, and an Inland Paratrooper than I traded for at a show in the last few years. I am getting excited about my M1icon Carbines again and having some fun getting them out of the safe.
I also found an "as issued" Inland with the early flip sight, correct finish and very limited wear that I am interested in buying. What's the general range of value on the Inland? I was thinking $1500-$1800, is that in the general ballpark?
    thanks in advance,
    Bob

Thanks, you are the 3rd or 4th person to warn me about the current misrepresented carbines. I'll be very careful and try to post photos here prior to a purchase. Sounds like we have a common interest in TSMG's.
