This one is marked as sold for £400................. I just hope the buyer thinks it's worth it.

I hope it was removed by eBay. I reported it as a fraudulent listing.
The areas where the spring fits are markedly different to the original. And the government broad arrow takes the place of the makers name.
Its cut in metric so some of the radius are visibly different.

Sadly I reckon the fakers are honing their skills, and it won't be long until they are perfectly made, then artfully distressed.
Eventually nobody will be able to tell for sure, apart from self-appointed grandees who just happen to have a few to sell.
Same thing happened with virtually any bit of Nazi tat years ago, and more recently is happening with anything from the LRDG, Popksi's Private Army, and so on.
