    Scored a No5 Mk1 today

I walked in to my local gun shop today with the intention of looking for powder and projectiles for my 1895 Nagant revolver. I glanced over at the used rack, and there she was. A No5 Mk1 ROF (F) 5/46 carbine. Price tag read $299.00. I had to have it.

The last one I had, I purchased in 1977, for $45.00. Traded it and some cash for an IHC M1icon Garand, in 1978. Been missing it ever since. Now that empty space in my safe has been filled. It looks good next to my '42 Long Branch No4 Mk1*.

I just need to get to the range now and see how she shoots. The bore looks good. I think this one came from Malaysia, judging by the FMP stamp on the butt socket.

Very nice rifle and awesome price! That is one of the cleanest FMP marked No.5 I've seen yet. Congratulations.

Fantastic find! At that price you practically stole it too! You better go buy a lottery ticket right now.
