    Great picture. I recognized that background as Venafro, I have a picture of my Dad there in late November 1943.

    I had a chance to visit Venafro a couple years ago. I walked through a huge Frenchicon and North African (French Moroccan, Algerian, Tunisian) cemetery there in Venafro. Christians on one side of the hedge and their Muslim allies on the other side.

    Monte Cassino is a few miles away. That was amazing to visit too, both because of its WWII significance and as St. Benedict's monastery.
