Nm 1903?
My LGS has what may be a limited edition of some kind 1903, but I am completely unsure of this. It is a 1903 Springfield Armory serial #952301 and has an interesting (best I can describe it, sorry) rear sight setup, a Lyman front sight and a short run of wood stock on top. Pictures posted below. Could someone be a saint and enlighten me please?

You have a common WWI M1903 there. Not NM at all and no longer a Service Rifle, either. Common Lyman 17 front sight with untouched rear sight. Re-barreled in 1924, it should have a late 1918 barrel on it. What is the wood like? How much is it? Might well be worth restoring, but price is an issue.

Yeah, I looked up the man. date of the rifle and when it didn't match up to the barrel I was a little dubious. Pretty darn decent wood actually and overall in good condition. Asking price: $500

I would offer $400.00 and try to settle around $450.00. You will need a new handguard and a new front barrel band. I can't tell about the wood and I have no idea about the bolt. It looks fairly clean and with any luck you will have a nice Camp Perry shooter.
